In today's world, with all its current challenges, we need to be fully connected to our deepest and wisest Self and in this way we can find the solutions that really work for us.
Flexibility and individual care and attention is the keynote of the healing practice and going into as much detail and depth that you require.
All too often we put ourselves last and we never get around to doing the things that would help improve the quality of our entire lives. Whether or not a crisis point is reached, if one feels drawn to utilising what is described here make contact and explore the possibilities and see if this may be for you as spiritual healing may help you in many ways.
The Bean and Fear Feasa are the female and male practitioners of an ancient Irish indigenous tradition, comparable to the genuine ancient Shaman of other cultures. It is based on the practises of a naturally emerging, and evolving spirituality that is indigenous, with different names, in various forms to many cultures around the world.
Various Fear Feasa practices (indigenous shamanism practices) have developed from necessity within the spiritual sphere of our human existence. They offer practical ways in which to work with some of the less tangible subtle energies that pervade our being and our consciousness, but nevertheless have profound effects upon our lives.
It is impossible to generalise the description of the Fear Feasa or Shaman as so many gifted and experienced practitioners originate their own techniques to solve particular and unique situations. In fact this may be the sign of an advanced spiritual healer, the ability to work with life and create solutions.
While we honour and learn from all those that have gone before in the various traditions around the world we approach this practise now in the present and connect with the Living Energies of the Universe and the individual within this context as they are today. The manifestation of Life is constantly changing and we need to move with it to find fresh, relevant and innovative solutions to our current challenges, embedded in our own culture, as this is where the subtleties of our life patterns are created.
The type of services offered provides us with the contextual and practical methods for interacting with the complex subtle energy systems that make up our being and how that being is embedded in and relates with the living energies of its environment. We are, after all, multidimensional beings with mental, emotional and physical aspects and so our true health depends upon the holistic integration and balancing of the primary energies that manifest our total self.
We offer a very different service to the more common 'shamanic practitioners' that train in core shamanism or similar group workshop systems and that certify to the level of practitioner. It is very necessary to make this distinction as the level of personal supervised one to one teaching and deep spiritual self work contained with our apprenticeship is of a very high standard and tailored to suit the individual in every case. We work within the authentic indigenous culture of the Land, Nature itself is our main point of reference.
The introductory descriptions following are simplified and hopefully to the point, illustrating how we practise and how this may benefit us in our everyday lives and our belief that simplicity is most effective. The headings under which these are presented are typically used to describe these practises.
A session may last from one to two hours depending on the work to be done and are usually on a one to one basis unless requested to do otherwise as several people may be seen together if required. Sessions are by appointment only so please use the contact details below to make suitable arrangements.
Ones own Spiritual Guides offer insights into the journey through Life that can help in identifying the underlying challenges and reveal the direction in which the solutions may be found, our task is to facilitate the communication between you and your Guides.
This may also apply to talents and gifts that are as yet undiscovered, or in some way proving elusive or difficult to develop. If there are energetic imbalances, which may be manifesting as diseases or disturbances in the physical, emotional or mental areas; the information required to examine and work with them will usually be forthcoming and clarified within our sessions.
The relationship that we form with the Guides during our session is the fundamental basis of our practise. It is from this central tenet that we receive the information we need to proceed in the various areas of healing and learning, which may manifest in a great variety of ways.
Sometimes we take on things that may not be healthy for us, or they may be imposed upon us with, or without our conscious knowledge or consent, and these can form the basis of energetic or spiritual intrusions and blockages.
These may cause internal impulses that create patterns we find we have no control over; in some cases these are so deep it may be difficult to know what is really ourselves and what is not.
Resolving, extraction or removal of these blockages and intrusions offers great relief in many cases. It creates an opportunity to live differently with more conscious choice to develop the attributes one needs in order to have a rewarding life.
Power retrieval is a gentle technique, which we can utilise in recovering personal power, which may have been lost in ones past through misunderstandings or trauma. This can help with areas of personal development and enhance ones capacity to achieve the tasks that one has set their heart upon.
Having a good vitality in mind, body and soul is essential to achieving ones goals in a satisfying way.
Soul retrieval focuses on a deeper level of our existence; the wounding, hurt, loss or damage of soul that can manifest in many ways. Feelings of depression, aimlessness, fear and a general lack of direction are just some generalised and typical aspects of this state of being.
Recovering, healing and integrating lost soul may lead to a greater sense of wholeness, wellbeing, of confidence and belief in oneself; adding a knowing of what one needs to do in this life.
Work with the Ancestors, for they have brought us to here and have so much to offer us now..
When we consider our lineage we can see that it may be a very comprehensive and extensive influence upon our current life situation.
Some of our relations, recent or distant Ancestors, may have unresolved issues that are travelling around family lines, working through the generations. They might manifest as a propensity towards substance dependency or a certain undesirable type of behaviour pattern for example.
This may also apply positively with many gifts being available in the same way, like a particular artistic talent. So some investigation with the Guides in this area, if this is indicated, will usually reveal the work required to both resolve difficulties and develop gifts, bringing harmony to the Ancestral Tapestries of our lives.
This is something we all have to face, death may come to us in a great variety of ways and is something that we are well advised to prepare for now. Being terminally ill or approaching death in our later years is something that we work with and a natural spiritual context may well be desirable in these circumstances. Alex is available for home and hospital visits for those who would like to do this kind of work and it may make a great difference in attaining peace and serenity before passing over.
Our dwelling is an extension of ourselves in many ways, and we may need to investigate and clear the energies that are currently in residence. If a disharmony is manifesting with discomfort, fear or something just not feeling right, children are often very sensitive to these influences, sometimes displaying irrational fears or disturbed sleep.
We also need to take the dwelling in its own context, the Land upon which it is situated and work with the energies therein which may be causing imbalances. As with our ancestors and ourselves, dwellings and the Land have their history and this may leave issues or gifts to be discovered, resolved or developed.
In some rural landscapes or urban gardens one may wish to achieve a deeper communication with the natural consciousness that exists there, and this can be a very meaningful and satisfying experience for both the person and Nature.
It really does help to have your house cleared as the build up of energies and imprints over many years clutter up the living space and when this is done in sympathy with the Land it is built upon a new healthy vibrance ensues.
Taking up the Bean or Fear Feasa Way on ones spiritual path can be both incredibly rewarding and challenging. This is an area of particular interest and experience of facilitating this process has shown that this can be very empowering. I recommend that the techniques of the Spirit Journey be learnt at ones own pace in a one to one relationship and protected environment. I believe this is a powerful transformative practice, which needs personal supervision and support during the process, as many complex issues may arise which need individual attention.
Going one step further and becoming a Practitioner requires vocational training and in my opinion is best done in the apprenticeship model. The depth of self-examination, healing and knowledge required to be a comprehensive and competent Practitioner is extensive, and this is of course, individual in every case. Being in ones cultural context and having a deep relationship with ones teacher enables thoroughness in the learning, which may not be always possible in group or workshop settings.
Being a holistic practitioner, I welcome the opportunity to work with other practitioner and disciplines when approaching the health of any individual or group. I feel it takes a varied approach to attaining real and true health, which includes one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being.
The human being is a social creature, living in families, both nuclear and extended, in tribes and communities. Sometimes groups need to examine and develop ways to coexist or work together in ways that enhance the activities the group takes on. This is individual in every case as every group has its own dynamic and its own consciousness, or soul, so to speak. I really enjoy exploring this element with interested people and I believe that the dividends can be most remarkable. Creating a conscious, safe, nurturing and creative group is positive and rewarding when undertaken with a sensitive independent facilitator who is experienced and interested in this area.
A father to two beautiful daughters and a grandfather to one lovely granddaughter. Alex always had an interest in eating and growing organic foods, and so he has enjoyed running gardens and small holdings in some of the places he has lived.
Alex enjoys nature and outdoor activities and has developed a love for photography and filmmaking, which is now taking the forefront at this time. He has a wealth of varied life experience to draw upon with a distinct flair for common sense which is very useful and practical in this context.
Alex has always had a deep interest and spent many years engaged in independent study and experimentation with esoteric, occult, the eight fold path of Yoga, and various initiatory systems and traditions over his life. This was probably due to many spontaneous spiritual experiences during his life, which he has since discovered his paternal grandmother also enjoyed.
Alex was delighted to locate and engage in a Vocational Fear Feasa Apprenticeship with Cáit Branigan, FOI. Bean Feasa. This has included extensive training with thorough self-work and healing in all respects over a decade This in depth learning has crystallised all of his various studies in a harmonised way with the practical tools to work with himself and his fellows. During Alex's apprenticeship many personal issues were faced, resolved and transformed, liberating him from crippling dependencies and dysfunctional behaviour patterns. Doing this in a slow and careful way has enabled the true wounded healer to emerge, skilful and empathic, offering a time for you in a non judgmental and neutral space.
During this time Alex realised another lifelong ambition, and attained an MSc in Sustainable Development with Exeter University over 4 years.
During the Sustainability studies he trained as a Facilitator of: Ecovillage Design Education, Training for Transition, Transition to Resilience Training, Community Resilience Training. These required extensive immersive group residential training's in various parts of the world. They have given Alex extensive experience in innovative group work and participatory learning. During his travels, Alex has had the pleasure to work with various spiritual practitioners of different traditions in both the East and the West.
Evolving natural earth based spiritual practises in conjunction with the community. It is an observation that some folk are seeking a spirituality that is both accessible and connects with our Living Planet and our universe, in a sacred, reverential and just way, especially in this time of human and ecological crisis, a need to engage in this type of development is becoming more prevalent.
Exploring humanity's place in the natural continuum, and examining what is ecological, community and individual sustainability. Discovering how this may be developed in ways that recognise, and celebrate our spiritual natures and values.
We have a new base now in Wexford, 5 acres of beautiful land in Hollyfort with many mature trees, along the banks of the River Bann, one of the cleanest in Ireland, home to trout and salmon and tributary to the Slaney. Please visit our new website to see full details of our Nature Communication School, Grá Nádur, in full partnership with Nikki Darrell, of Veriditas Hibernica - Ban Leighis - Herbalist, Aromatherapist, Body Worker practitioner, teacher, researcher and activist. We have some lovely plans to develop this place in harmony with the Nature already there, bring Wild Soul Gardening into being. New workshops and courses around this will be posted up soon. Hollyfort is available during the Spring through to Autumn and we have a large Tipi Lodge and facilities which can host groups. Check out the events page.
Nature Resonance Medicine is interwoven and embedded within everything we do, our heart centred work brings us into alignment with our Nature and the plants are excellent teachers in this respect, particularly the trees. Nature Resonance Medicine is compatible with and enhances all other genuine development systems and spiritual disciplines for it is truly universal. Visit The Plant Medicine School website
We also are based in Coachford, Cork, and are available there to see clients and groups. The facilities in Coachford are excellent for our workshops and full clinical herbalist and plant medicine trainings are ongoing and have been for many years.
These new developments are deepening our path and bringing to fruition the full recovery of the old ways of this Land, and as Nature is the true and only source of us all, it is bringing a tremendous power to our work. The partnership between ourselves, Alex, and Nikki, is opening new ways to teach the way of finding our authentic indigenous selves working directly with the plants and the Land. This is what we need now at this time on Earth, we need the authentic warriors of the Spirit of the Land to rise and reclaim the truth, that we are created and evolved in Nature to work with Nature for all of our well being. I hope we see you soon, as every single person who participates in this brings their own particular jewel of truth and we need you all. A very special aspect of this work with Nature is rediscovering the egalitarian relationship between the divine Feminine and the Masculine, and hence with all beings we share Life with. Archaeologists are finding that for the greater part of our evolution we have been equal.
